Volsun cold shrink tube are open-ended, tubular rubber sleeve that are factory expanded and assembled onto a removable core. Cold shrink tubes are supplied for field installation in this pre-stretched condition. The core of cold shrink tube is removed after the tube has been positioned for installation over an inline connection, terminal lug or other similar applications, allowing the tube to shrink and form a waterproof seal.

Cold shrink tube applications enable quicker, easier and safer isolation when compared to heat shrink tubes. Cold shrink tubes are also ideal solution where hot work permits are difficult to obtain.
